We have the keys!
We are delighted to officially inaugurate our blog! Here we will share the latest news, educational resources, stories of hope, and lots of opportunities for you to get involved and join hands with us in making a difference in the lives of survivors of modern slavery.
The last few months have been a whirlwind of activity behind the scenes, and we are finally ready to celebrate an incredible milestone with you: we have the keys to our first property!
Safe spaces like this play a crucial role in breaking the cycle of exploitation. In addition to providing survivors with a comfortable place to live, our housing programme will offer them holistic support to rebuild their lives and address any vulnerabilities that would put them at risk of re-victimisation. We focus on small, homely properties that will allow those we serve to feel safe, autonomous, and relaxed in order to begin preparing for fully independent living.
As we renovate and furnish the house, we are in need of some essential furnishings including beds, tables, chests of drawers, lamps, chairs, mirrors and kitchen appliances. If you are based in Greater London (within the M25) and have any furniture that you would be able to donate to support our mission, you can find the full list of items we need along with the contact form below:
We will be collecting all items on Saturday 27th April. Donated items will not only provide material support, but also send a powerful message of care and kindness to those we serve.
If you are not able to donate any furniture but you would like to support our work, you can also make a financial donation:
We are immensely grateful for any contribution. As a volunteer-led organisation, we rely on the generosity of a dedicated team of volunteers and supporters who are driving the change they want to see.
As we begin this new chapter of our journey, we will continue to share exciting updates on our newsletter and social media – take a peek below!
